Spain with kids is one trip for us: Valencia in March 2026, 1,800 kilometres by car, two driving days each way with a night near Orange. That drive we will not do again, you fly there.
We stayed in an apartment in Puçol, 20 kilometres north of the city, beach across the street. It rained the first week, and the mascletàs of Las Fallas still boomed through 20 kilometres away (we deliberately skipped the busiest days in the city). What made up for it: the Albufera with the Ruta Botánica at Gola del Pujol (free), Parc Gulliver, and ice cream at Glasol in Port Saplaya.
